Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3–4 minutes, then drain.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add mushrooms and cook until lightly browned.
- Stir in cream, milk, salt, pepper, and thyme. Simmer briefly.
- Combine green beans with creamy mixture.
- Transfer to a baking dish and top with cheese and crispy onions.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest slightly before serving.
